Neighborhood Ventures (NV) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, neighborhood-based community and economic development organization that works to bring greater vitality and success into neighborhood business districts. These efforts improve quality of life and quality of place, enhancing the economic health of Grand Rapids' urban neighborhoods.  NV focuses on the strategic priorities of business recruitment/retention/expansion and business corridor organizing. Because of NV's continued work, urban neighborhoods are more inviting to visit, safer to live in and better places in which to do business.

To interject vitality into the heart of each Grand Rapids neighborhood by revitalizing its business district in ways that strengthen and sustain their distinct characteristics.

A city full of vibrant business districts, distinctive and reflective of each neighborhood.

Goals

• Entrepreneurs: Recruit and support entrepreneurs to create successful businesses in key business districts
• Economy: Implement effective, sustainable development tools for neighborhood business districts
• Infrastructure: Improve public and private infrastructure in neighborhood business districts
• Organize:  Work together with business associations and community stakeholder to improve image and aesthetics to generate more commercial activity
